I've been to Arab Street and Haji Lane countless times but for some reason I had never actually properly browsed the shops along Haji Lane. Everything's REALLY quaint and I can totally imagine setting up a little shop there, only that I wonder how the owners pay their rent because it's far, far, far from bustling!
We left late (COUGHnotourfaultCOUGHhahaha) and the bus journey took like an hour and everyone was waiting for us!! So paiseh sorry sorry.
We were supposed to have a Singapore Food Feast of sorts, with the whole hawker centre atmosphere which is actually kind of stinky and smoky but I'm sure it'll be something I miss when I am gone in PRECISELY TWO WEEKS omg panic TWO WEEKS.
Anyway we really did have a feast, there was charkuayteow, hokkien mee, carrot cake, satay, chicken wings, mussels, sotong, stingray, pohpiah, wasabi pohpiah, giant mugs of sugarcane juice, and we all dug in with our chopsticks in the typical Chinese communal fashion, eating from the same plates, drinking from the same straws, passing the dishes around, throwing bones and shells on the table, etc.
Tubby: -looks crazy-
Blur sotong (as in literally, not talking about Tubby)
This side of the table (Justin Ng, me, Jon)
That side of the table (Liru, Mich, Tubzz, Charity)
Tubby's best "tango" pose (just imagine that the chopstick is a rose between his teeth). Look at the intensity in his eyes!

In the cab on the way home - because Jon has problems opening his eyes when there is flash. Heeheehee.
Thanks to everyone who came down at such a short notice! I had fun and my tummy's happy (:
