*111 - haircut at last

I got my hair cut yesterday!! Four inches off the back!!

And it was so cheap -beams- Only $20 (student price!) for stylists who offer advice and give you free treatment (dry hair, apparently) and girly magazines to flip through and a cup of tea on the house and a hair wash with a vigorous massage and styling to end it off.

Basically cut, wash, style, plus frills, for twenty bucks. Isn't that great (:

I know this is not the best picture (you can't even tell how long it really is haha) but YOU go try taking a picture of the back of your head - not easy okay. Hehe (:

It's so short that my pony tail consists of a few strands of hair! I think I'll miss my frenchbraids ):

Now my head feels so much lighter and I don't feel the need to brush my hair because it's so short hahaha.

No pictures of the front because I'm still figuring out what to do with that fringe, HMM.

By the way, the Mango sale is on but their clothes suck. They're all really, really ugly! And not THAT discounted either. Bleugh. Don't bother with it.

*110 - thosai

Walked out of school after the Math paper with tears in my eyes. Yeah, of all things to screw up, I had to screw up Math. And because I'm a Chia-fan I'm just really sad that she's going to be so disappointed in me. Now I can't say ugh I screwed up just about everything, but at least there was Math to save me.

Was seriously pondering upon the fact that once upon a time, I had brains, and useful ones at that. Nowadays I think they've gone into hiding - I'm seriously becoming stupid. And that sucks. That really really sucks. Sigh.

Upset.

Nevermind let's not dwell on such things.

We went to Little India to try the famous thosai! (: It was the hugest piece of food I've ever seen.

Just look at the size of that! -chomp-

Wah. We didn't finish hehe.

Oh and I love the next photo, because firstly I look positively thrilled, and secondly Justin's got his food halfway to his mouth and his tongue hanging out slightly. Hehehe.

We walked in the sun from Little India to Arab Street to Bugis! It's great being touristy once in a while. A little shopping around, but nothing bought apart from some wire. Haha.

Next, a series of "HURHUR lookatme I am insane" photos! Terribly unflattering of course, but somehow I like them. I think the last picture of me is amazing - observe the wrinkly double chin, droopy eyes, halfway-out-tongue and (rather odd) look of repulsion on my face! :D

(Am I the only person who delights in looking awful in photos? I think it's funny!)

Also, I have strange ears. I'm not sure what's missing but normal earpieces just won't stay in my ears! Thus we have to resort to winding the wires around my entire ear to secure the earpiece. Hahaha.

We went back to my place to fiddle with wire and Justin got me hooked on 'Naruto', which is this Japanese anime! Haha! Ninjas are cool okay.

Justin stayed for dinner and imagine our horror when we went down and discovered this on the table:

MORE nasi briyani and curry chicken!! After eating so much of that at Little India for lunch!! My goodness. Thankfully there was lots of other food to choose from, haha. No more curry for a while please, thankyouverymuch.

Anyway. This is slightly belated but ...

Common Tests are OVER (:

Time to play! (: And ahaha back to work next week. Um, whee?

Welcome to the life of an RJ student.

*109 - scrambled eggs

As I'm typing, Justin's downstairs in my kitchen washing up the utensils (:

We just made scrambled eggs with melted cheese and no oil whatsoever! (:

It's nearly 4.30 pm and Chem ended at 10.30. What we've been doing since then in: eating lunch, taking showers, going to sleep, eating, cooking, eating some more.

That's about it. Oh dear.

Chem was so terrible that it was funny. And we thought yesterday's BIO paper was hard. Ahaha. Ha.

I knew I wouldn't have time to think slowly so I just ploughed through the paper, skipping the "toughies" and thinking cheerfully that I would go back and do them once I did all the easier questions. Unfortunately I never had the chance to go back to do them and now those questions still remain clean and blank, whee.

But oh well, RJC Chem papers are renown for their impossibility (last year's promos being an anomaly) so we shall all laugh together at our (hopefully not single-digit) marks when we get them back. Hoho.

Math tomorrow - I can't do Trigo, and I can't do P&C and Probability. Help?

PS to Gerry - thanks! Hehe (:
And to Tubby - yay I pwned you! ;)

27 June, 2006

*108 - loser ):

For the first time ever, I am going to completely give up on Chemistry, pack my bag and go to sleep. I feel like crap, it's not yet 10 pm and I'm falling asleep, I can't absorb anything more, last minute cramming just isn't working this time, all the info is leaking out of my brain, I can't do the stupid practice papers (which are kind of weird because this year we seem to be tested on MANY more topics than previous CT2s which sucks) and I know this is Not Good At All and yes I am already regretting it like crazy but my body cannot take it and yeah I'll just weep at my stupidity when I get my disgusting results back and that will be that I suppose.

Yo, I think I must have sprained my brain during Bio this afternoon or something.

I'm such a loser, seriously. ):

Ok and literally a few seconds after I typed that, Mummy came in to pray for me and now I'm feeling loads better. I'll skim through my notes one last time, have a good night's rest, and trust God to do the rest. (:

(To Sandhya, have you found out my SATs results yet? Hehe, look harder!)

26 June, 2006

*107 - sats, my second try!

I just screamed the house down. Teeheehee. All glory to God (:

My entry on 3rd June: "It actually felt a teensy bit better than the first time. So thank God for carrying me through it all (:"

1st try: a dismal and very embarrassing 2090.
2nd try: hooray, 2270! (:

Yup even though I was so sick that Amy's poor friend (who was sitting beside me, but I didn't know him) wanted to offer me Fishermen's sweets to shut my nose up, I still managed to pull through. Praise God praise God (:

Now I'm not so sad about Physics anymore, hehe. (It was bad as always but I don't think I'll fail.) Like Wenloong happily pointed out this morning, it really was all Greek to me - with the ohm, lambda, phi, etc. Haha so witty eh Wenloong?

Now off to tackle Bio. Unfortunately I cannot say "I hope the past month of studying will pay off" but I just hope all the stuff I'm cramming in now will remain. All the best, everybody!

25 June, 2006

*106 - round face, prominent nose

4 days to (temporary) freedom!

Not that I haven't been happily slacking my days away.

Strangely, I don't feel stressed up at all about CT2, although I ought to be. Guess I completely lost momentum during the gym/dance period, and never picked it up again.

Something tells me I'm going to have a panic attack tomorrow when I open the Physics test paper and realise that everything is Greek to me and I really should have studied harder over the precious June holidays, which are going to be over in a matter of hours. Boo.

And then there's Bio after that, and judging by the amount I've studied, I think the bulk of my studying is going to be after the Physics paper, for those few hours.

And Chem is doomed as it always is in my case.

And Math to end it all off on a sad note because I always wish I would score brilliantly for Math (the only paper in which I have glimmer of hope of doing well) but never do.

I've never been so don't-care-ish about exams since, like, ever. And that's spooky because this is the completely wrong time to feel nonchalant about exams. Like, hello?! Prelims and A levels in a few months?! Dingdingding, about time to wake up Evelyn.

My "study plans" which I conscientiously write out daily (perhaps the most conscientious thing I do throught the day) which I rarely (actually never - except once!) complete in the end. Yes, I wrote in GREEN (very uncharacteristic of Evelyn) but only because I'm trying to finish up those ghastly markers I've had since Sec 1.

(Haha I just realised I planned to study Photosynthesis and Respiration and Homeostasis almost every single day, but haven't got down to doing so even up to today!)

But ooh, I'm looking forward to the teensy little break after Thursday, I think I should go do something drastic with my hair, but knowing that I'll most probably chicken out, at least get it trimmed, because I haven't since late last year, which is terribly unhealthy for my hair and not to mention, terribly unflattering.

Ooh, look! Hairstyle suggestions for my face shape!

Round face (Chubby face, that's me! Boohoo.)
Generally, layered styles with maximum lift on top and minimum volume on the side are a good choice to lengthen the rounder face. A soft, layered fringe that is slightly angled to the side adds a little bit of length to the face. Avoid long fringes as this can emphasis the rounded face and can look too harsh.

Prominent nose (Cos I have a monster nose! Gaurghh.)
You can minimize the severity of the profile by choosing a style that includes fringe and pulls back from the face on the sides of the head. Avoid curls in favor of curves, and keep the lines simple. Shorter, blunt cut styles tend to work best.

Bangs? Hmm, should I? =

On a rather unrelated note: I discovered Joan at Macs today as she was designing a Sri Lankan house on a laptop - the strange projects they do in RGS these days. Realised I kinda miss her and all her quirks - I mean, how often do you find a pro rhythmic gymnast who is a pro at judo at the same time? Haha! 2 years my junior, but somehow it doesn't quite make a difference. The next time she calls me to go downstairs and play with lanterns (ti deng long!), that is if she ever does again, I think I shall. (:

22 June, 2006

*105 - study techniques

The ultimate way to stay awake while studying.

Stretch!

Pain makes it near impossible to fall asleep (:

[That sentence looks disturbingly masochistic. I think it has something to do with the smiley face (: ]

[Zhu and Amy, have you tried doing an oversplit lately?? Ahaha my goodness.]

20 June, 2006

*104 - carmen

Carmen - a story of a bewitching gypsy girl with a wild passion.

Click HERE to download a video clip from the ballet. (The pictures are screenshots that I took from the video, which explains the rather poor quality!)

It's a classical ballet pas de deux, and it really is one of the most beautiful dances I've ever seen! Even Justin enjoyed it (he wasn't bored!!) and that must mean it's really very very good. ;)

The slight tilt of the head to look at each other's eyes, the lingering and the longing, the closeness. The way they express their emotions through dance ... it's just unbelievable.

And I think this is just a rehearsal because they aren't wearing the usual Carmen costumes, and they stop to talk halfway. But still. Amazing. And I love how it's shot like a movie and not so much a typical ballet.

(Normal Carmen costumes might look something like this.)

Even if you don't normally enjoy classical ballet, I think you might like this one. (: Ballet's not only about tutus and pointe shoes and splits. Try watching it, and perhaps you'll understand a little better why I love dance.

19 June, 2006

*103 - iced mocha

Good morning, mocha ice blended! Here's where I have been living, from morning to evening. (The library cafe.) Work has been coming along really sluggishly despite the fact that there isn't much distraction in the library, apart from the occasional book/magazine. And besides, I always end up dozing off on the table and waking up with acute pins and needles.

Saw this outside the library today. I love butterflies, I have a phobia of caterpillars. Someone point out the irony please. Oh but there's something very sad about this photo! On first glance it's just another one of those butterfly photos, but if you look closely, you can see that its wings are torn in so many places ):

(Or maybe that's part of it's camouflage technique, but somehow I don't think so :P)

Anyway.

Thanks to rugby, Justin has been unable to smile/laugh properly because his lip is torn. On the contrary, I am fully capable of smiling/laughing properly but decided to complement Justin and his funny face with a funny face of my own (:

And that ^ is a close-up of his lip! Eee. You can't miss it because I circled it in pink (:

Tag time!

Syuan: Yes, we do argue! Don't worry, we're human (: It's something like what you said about your photos - there is much suffering I don't blog about. Ahaha. Ok not exactly "much suffering" but you get what I mean. Ask Justin and he'll tell you what a terror I can be! -snarl-

Sandhya: Somehow for my family, events like daddy's day or mummy's day or birthdays aren't a big thing at all. Usually we go out for dinner, perhaps a few weeks late and call it our Fathers' Day Dinner. Hehe! Family culture I guess! Doesn't mean we love each other any less (:

xY: You didn't tell me! And okay, enough about sperm :P Ahaha! All the best for your papers, how come they begin TOMORROW?! That's crazy!

One more week, people. -shudder-

I think I'm getting stressed again, because I had a laughing fit today. That was my 2nd time. The first time was while studying for CT1 I think, and I was sitting at mosburger alone, waiting for Justin to come back from the loo, giggling out loud but trying not to, and feeling like a complete fool.

It might sound pretty mild, but it's really not pleasant to be unable to stop laughing although nothing is funny and people are staring and your tummy hurts like the dickens and your throat is all raw and scratchy and you're wheezywheezywheezy and full of phlegm. After a while I think I sounded like I was crying violently. Ow.

But we found that the most effective medicine for my laughing fit was to flip open the Physics TYS and start discussing Electromagnetic Induction, and tadaa, the giggles would subside! :D We had to do that three times (I think) before I stopped laughing completely.

Not funny okay.

(Am I the only one who gets these??)

*102 - daddy day

The Terminal just ended on HBO a couple of minutes ago. It's my third time watching it, not so much because I adore the movie (although Tom Hanks is quite a sweetheart in it) or because I'm free (I'm itching to complete Trigo once and for all), but because it was ...

-drumroll-

... the very first movie I watched with Justin (:

Heehee! It's kinda cute now that I think about it.

Me in my navy blue too-short pinafore (hey, can't help growing), watching people come and go at Orchard MRT, trying to look nonchalant and not too eager. Him looking much like he often does now in the all-white uniform, walking through the gates towards me with that silly grin of his.

Soft poofy chairs, fingers laced, an arm around my waist, my head on his shoulder.

(:

And today:

Getting picked up at my busstop about half an hour late as usual (blame his younger siblings for waking up late, hehe),
Justin's church,
Fathers' Day lunch at Sizzlers (most ironically, for Justin's daddy and not my own!),
a little shopping around,
back to his place,
falling asleep in his room after vowing to his parents that We Shall Study Hard,
waking up in time to raid his fridge/cupboards and watch Spongebob and the Simpsons,
getting sent home in his mummy's car.

This is something that happens on about one Sunday in four, and while it might not sound particularly exciting to you, it's my idea of a lovely day spent with him and his family.

(:

End of mush. Back to Trigo. Happy Fathers' Day to, well, noone who reads this!

And of course, Happy Fathers' Day to my daddy and my Daddy in heaven (:

*101 - hundredandone!

Just because this is post #101:

(Dalmations! Aren't they sweet?)

Sorry, couldn't resist lah.

In other news, I really really detest TRIGO.

)':

And, I am blogging way too much. Sigh.

PS: xY you haven't replied my email in DAYS! Three days leh! ): Oh and thanks for the flea & sperm imagery. Teehee.

*100 - unproductiveness

Here I am again.

I wish I could be like some hardworking souls out there who complain about being "sick of mugging". I only wish I could complain about that!

After all, I've done so little mugging that I can hardly say I'm sick of it. I just don't want go near my books.

So what have I been doing?

1. There's a perfectionist lurking in me that makes me positively anal about whether my summarised, handwritten notes look pretty or not. Which causes me to, on a bad day, recopy my notes over and over again for a few hours, for up to 4 times, just because it wasn't summarised enough or the colour scheme sucked or it didn't fit into the column I wanted it to fit into or I used too much liquid paper (which makes the notes ugly, really!) or some trivial nonsense like that.

Example of my summarised (ie. squished) and prettily coloured (ie. bimbotic) notes:

2. My latest obsession: Watching video clips of ballets or modern ballet pieces. My favourite is in the middle, somewhat elevated. It's a modern pointe pas de deux, but they dance together so seamlessly that it seems like just one dancer moving endlessly. Sharp, but fluid. Amazing choreography, amazing technique.

And then there's this music video of Sting (the rock star) and Alessandra Ferri (ballerina) - She does a modern pointe dance and together with the music and all, it's really beautiful. And because I was nice, I uploaded it! Sting & Ferri music video (: [Click on the link! It'll work for 7 days, haha.]

Unearthly arches!! Oh and, the vid's really big but well worth the wait, in my opinion (:

3. Going online. To blog, blog surf, email, chat online, blahdeblah.

4. Fiddling with making earrings. Salesperson Evelyn says: GO TO Elisa & Evelyn AND ORDER EARRINGS NOW! (: Haha. And a bulk order of um, what, 16 pairs of earrings (!!) has kept us busy. But earrings are fun, yay!

5. And the other usual stuff. Sleeping. (When Justin came over to study, we fell asleep on the bed for THREE HOURS after lunch, and Mummy had to wake us up by enticing us with mashed potatoes. Tsk.) Eating (Jeslyn you aren't the only one). Talking to people. Reading. Wandering around aimlessly. The occasional attempt at shopping. Etc etc etc.

SIGH. Unproductive, unmuggerish Evelyn. I want to be a mugger but I just can't! ): Anything seems more attractive than sitting down to study.

Ok. I resolve to do Nitrogenous Compounds after this, bleugh.

And go swimming and play pool after that. Hoho. I hope I don't drown though, for some reason my calves are cramping at every step!

Tata.

(Oh gosh, this is entry #100 on this blog! Latte-love, you have served me well.)

*099 - muggertoads

(Admittedly, our resolution only lasted that one day. And today it was back to slacking, which is Not Good At All.)

*098 - 5 new designs

New designs up at Elisa and Evelyn!

A tiny preview:

(Yes Michelle, I decided to name the earrings I made for you after you! :D )

Go go go check them out! (: And better yet, buy something!

*097 - dusty albums

I LOVE TUBBY TO BITS!!

Ok now before your jaws drop with horror and images of Tubby Kong (my bodyguard) flood through your mind ...

... I'm talking about my ex-pet rabbit (:

Tubby was our 5th rabbit! Rabbits have short life spans ): We got her when I was 7 or 8 years old, and she lived till a ripe old rabbitty age of perhaps 5 years?

Baby Tubby!

So cute right! (As in, baby Tubby, not me. Hmm, I used to have a rather large head. And droopy eyes.)

Names of all the rabbits we've had, in order: Brighteyes, Specs, Sherrie, Hope, Tubby, Hazel, and Hazel gave birth to Twilight, Oreo, Horlicks, Pudding.

But Tubby was my favourite, she showed us that rabbits can have personality and can love their owners too! (: She would run to us when we called her, and she loved to be stroked so much so that if she came across your hand she would push her head against it and keep nudging it until you started to pet her!

Fully grown Tubby:

She was a beautiful rabbit, not the usual quiet short-furred type but the huge galloping ball of fur type!

(:

What sparked off this entry was flipping through my old photo albums together with Justin, when he last came over for dinner.

Had quite a nice time squawking over what I used to look like! I mean, can you even recognise me from the above picture? Apart from the dimple (in singular, not plural) I think I look completely different now!

Right, here are more old photos!

Wow, my daddy used to be an Attractive Young Lad! So handsome (: And that's a cute fat 1-year-old me by his side! This was in San Francisco, when we were living there.

Me feeding the ducks in New Zealand. I was about 5 years old. I know you can't see my face but I was quite pretty then! I actually morphed from cute baby to pretty toddler to ugly awkward youngster (between about P2 - P4) to relatively normal girl to fat teen (secondary school!) to monster (now) :D

And the next 2 photos delighted me greatly! They are photos from my Very First Ballet Performance Ever when I was 7 years old!!

Me on the bottom left, Evelyn Chew on the bottom right! Here's proof we've been dancing together for 12 years (since P1)! Hehehe. These girls used to be my best buddies (:

A really lousy photo taken during the dance itself. I'm the short yellow girl holding the flower garland, mostly hidden from view by the girl in blue!

Mm.

Snapshots of times when things weren't complicated.

That got me reminiscing about the past.

Nostalgia, nostalgia, nostalgia.

Years of innocence, of wonder, of simple pleasures. When things that scared me most were monsters in the bathroom and not getting full marks.

Sweet memories, faded pale, now kept away in dusty albums.

I think we grow up too fast.

12 June, 2006

*096 - so you think you can dance

Nick won Nick won Nick won! :D

His technique is unbeatable and his stage presence is awesome!

And Melody was lovely too of course (:

Now I really, really miss dancing! I know I'll never even be a fraction as good as any of those beautiful dancers but I'm not going to stop dancing. 12 years of dancing, and counting (:

11 June, 2006

*095 - cool geek

(It says: hello! it's raining so hard that my window is frosty! -snowflake-)

Frosted windows due to cold weather (NOT due to malfunctioning aircons etc) isn't something you see everyday in Singapore.

Anyway, Desmond called night before last, and I also got to talk to him for quite a bit after church - Really admire his attitude towards studying! Albeit a little extreme ... "Give me Campbell and I'll read it as a bedtime story" and "I love memorising formulas" etc ... but still, I wish I had a similar passion to learn. Find the joy in everything you do, including studying - that's his advice.

And the thing is, he isn't a supergeek, he's a muscly sportsman and cool dancer and basically the only thing nerdy about him is that he loves to study. Cool geek, perhaps?

I shall be off to the library to study today. Feeling motivated. To become Evelyn the Cool Geek, oo yes (:

Also, Darlene Zschech led worship at New Creation yesterday!

Now isn't that nice (:

And, I miss dancing, sigh.

*094 - michelle turns 18!

A short update on Michelle's birthday party on Friday! (:

Pretty birthday girl and I (yes, acting kewt with the balloons)!

We mostly spent our time at her house playing games on her TV. Ok I'm sure there's a name for that kind of games but I'm too swaku to know it.

My first time playing DDR!!

Huiwen and I were really lousy at it at first, but once we calmed down and stopped screaming so much we improved from E to B! Yay! Hahaha. So that was my exciting debut to DDR.

I have to say though, Dance Dance Revolution does NOT equate to dancing, after all, you're just following arrows and moving your feet. But of course, it is a great test of your psychomotor coordination and sense of rhythm! And if you add in funkay arm movements you might actually look a tad like you're dancing hehe.

Played some other games with some cool camera thing that could sense motion. Lizhan is the master window cleaner and I am the boxing champ. Aww yeahh! :D

Friends of Michelle + one sister + cousin! And loads of pretty balloons (: I like colourful photos like these.

Birthday cake (:

Happy birthday Mich, thanks for the party and hope you enjoyed yourself & the presents! (:

*093 - the name game

UPDATE!

And the winner is ...

SANDHYA! :D Hehehe I love your hypnosis and Elisa's delighted over egg-beaters (: And she wants to hire you as our official 'namer' of our earrings teehee. What shall your prize be? Hm hm hm.

Thank you (Joshua, Justin, Tubzz, Sandhya, S'yuan, Bryan, anonymous) for all your brilliant input! That was fun. Hehehe :D

Website updates might take a while though. It's a complicated process involving drawing scanning colouring phototaking editing html-ing and of course trying to come up with witty descriptions. Haha. But order from us okay! (:

END UPDATE

To push down that angsty post because I don't want to look at it anymore (although the walruses are delightfully cute), let's play a game! Yay!

It's called ... Name The Earrings! :D

I made 2 new sets of earrings just now (my fingers are bruised and aching as I type this) and we'll be getting them up on Elisa and Evelyn as soon as we can find the time to. (Yeah I know the site's rotting but our stuff is still available!) I'm sick of going to silly sites like www.babynames.com to select names for the earrings haha so maybe if any of you have bright ideas? (:

A bit of description ...

#1 has iridescent cat's-eye beads in a spirally cage of silver wire, with more hanging from the bottom. The two earrings are opposite in colour because I thought that looked cute (:

#2 is a purple bead that's speckled with black (about marble sized) and enclosed in silver wire.

Your turn, name them for me please (: They can be real names or phrases or strange new words or anything lah.

But ok you don't have to if you don't want to or if you're an uncreative pok, hmph.

*092 - weighty issues

Just watched Singapore Idol and I'm dismayed (but not surprised) at the lack of talent in our little country. Even our best won't make it one step out of Singapore. And the judges really fail at judging as well, gosh. Sorry to all the loyal fans and supporters out there, just a personal thought. Of course, I don't deny I'm as talent-less as everyone else, so. (:

Annoyed, annoyed, annoyed.

I know I'm fat and jiggly and resemble a podgy walrus (see above), and I beat myself up over it from time to time, but it really doesn't help things when Mummy tells me ever so often to stop wearing skirts and please hide my legs because they're huge and ugly, and lately she's been reminding me to go buy new undies and to please look for at least size L because my butt's decidedly Large.

I know my general bone structure is really broad, I know my legs are like tree trunks, I know my tummy's jelly-like, I know my ass is big as a bus, I know my arms (and heck everything else too) jiggle when I move. I also know I have absolutely no willpower to diet properly and yeah I suck. When I jog my sister warns me I'm going to get thunder thighs (or thunderier thighs to be exact). When I swim my brother tells me soon I'll be looking like J ocelyn Yeo.

So I'm thinking that since I can't exercise maybe I should try to get my muscles to atrophy by just sitting still (but actually my butt's only getting larger) and try to be abstemious in my eating but that doesn't work because I get hungrier that way and when I get hungrier I eat more and tend to binge binge binge so I'm even worse off than if I just eat normally.

Sometimes I wonder if I wouldn't be as obsessive over the fact that I'm fat, and maybe all this flab wouldn't matter so much, if it wasn't for gym, where everyone else was so skinny (and they still are) and there were mirrors all around and the coach used to weigh me and announce to the gym my weight and tell me to lose at least 4 kg in 3 months and tell me I'm looking heavier and heavier and that without all that extra flab I would be a lot better and get me to wear stupid purple plastic trashbaggy outfits and run in them to make me sweat more and when I took them off I would be standing in a pool of sweat (she didn't realise all I lost was water & salt & self-esteem and gained severe heatstroke at the same time) and -

Oh whatever, I should just shut up and go drown my sorrows in a cup of low fat yoghurt with natural fruit bits or something.

(Forget it, I don't even have yoghurt in my fridge.)

06 June, 2006

*091 - devil's number

I just realised today's date is 6.6.6! How decidedly chilling.

05 June, 2006

*090 - secret thing

After I sat for SATs on Saturday, I felt pretty satisfied about how it went because it felt better than the 1st time. (Ok sorry I know not funny) Rushed home and fell asleep because firstly the hours-long paper bored me to tears and secondly, I was sick. (I still am!) Woke up, had a bath, and rushed out again to meet the girls for the Secret Thing!

We rushed around to get the present done, and after that Michelle purchased some mascara. Whereupon we went to the toilet to ... plaaay! -insert clapping of hands and girly giggles- I'm the self-professed makeup pro, but only in the eyeshadow-that-goes-up-to-your-eyebrows and thick-eyeliner-that-twirls-up-to-your-temples way. Yeah, blame it on the years of performing :P I'm not too sure how to look normal with makeup.

Anyway. We had a girly fun time in the washroom, something that guys would never understand. In fact, we were so fixated that we ended up being kinda late but not as late as the rest! Rushed off to the American Club. Photowhored, drank orange juice, played with balloons, etc. Until it was time for the Birthday Girl to arrive!

Tadaa!

(Gabrielle, dad, Ian)

Gabrielle seemed more embarrassed and appalled rather than happy and surprised though! (Maybe it was because her real birthday is at the end of the month - Physics CT actually.) Haha if I were her I would be soooo touched that my parents actually bothered to organise something like that for me (:

Gabrielle and I (:

Well it was great fun, especially because there were loads of balloons to entertain us (: Jeslyn struggles to be seen:

And Huiwen (whose shoulder straps kept sliding off her shoulders oo!) tries to umm have a mouthful of Jeslyn's huge purple boobs.

Haha! That wasn't the worst, you should have seen what Jeslyn did with those 2 balloons plus a long sausage-shaped balloon. Cough. Hehehe :D

The 6 of us! (: [six, because Sinhui was there in spirit, but physically not in Singapore.]

With Gabrielle! (:

Yup many thanks to Gabrielle & her family for hosting the party, it was pretty exciting (: And thanks to Sam Huiwen Mich Jeslyn for the fun times (: I've uploaded the rest of the photos onto shutterfly, look at the link on the right! (I can't believe we took so many haha!) Jeslyn your turn to upload!

Now one last picture of the birthday girl because it has got to be the coolest photo ever! Look at the way the noodle is soaring through the air into her mouth and note the enthusiasm in her biiiig eyes. Hehehe.

Happy (early) birthday, Gabrielle! <3

*089 - siyuan

asdfjkl;lzs!!!

First I typed a nice long entry on Siyuan and the farewell party. Then POOF, power trip, all gone.

Then I tried again, and my computer hung, all gone.

Then I tried again in Microsoft Word, and it hung when I tried to save, all gone.

BOOHOOHOO. Technology, ugh.

To summarise because I'm too fed up to retype everything all over again: WE'LL MISS YOU A LOT, SIYUAN! And thank you for all the memories (: Do keep in touch with us all!

Siyuan the giraffe. He's so tall he has to stoop in order to walk into the MRT!

The Siyuan Face which we are all trying to emulate!

However, on closer inspection, we find out that Siyuan is the only one who is not making The Siyuan Face!! Tsk!

Girls doing what we do best: Photowhoring. Here's our 'fighting' picture. (Check out Gabrielle's face hahaha)

To end off the night, we played a silly card game which resulted in some scandalous affairs. Like Jon and Sherlene's first kiss ooooo! Haha.

Marcus doing push ups over Huiwen (who did a grand total of THREE dares haha!)

Siyuan serenades Sherlene (don't worry Charlotte his heart is still with YOU) who stuffs his mouth with marshmallows after that.

And that was when I left. Haha!

New photo links on the right (: Including the rest of the pictures from Siyuan's farewell party! And dance night photos (at last), but there are very few because my poor camera was suffering from the ice-cold temperatures. Yes, it's sensitive to the cold, hahaha.

Photos from Saturday's Secret Things will be up next time! Sorry ah, photowhores must be patient hehe!

I shall now press 'publish post' and the computer had better not hang on me. Growl.
