*577 - mrreoowww.

I'm a convert! I like kitties now (:

... well, some. I still maintain that cats are generally frosty and unloving towards humans. (I'm sure I'm terribly misguided here.)

But look! How can one not love these kitties!

Pastor Chip's:

But ultimately, my true love still lies in bunnies (especially my acrobatic Toby).

*576 - crabs and chickens

Uniquely Singapore chilli crab

Just is a Carnivore

13 chickens died for us that night (chicken hearts!)

PS: I use a Lumix. As you can see, it does well in the light but sucks when it's dark. It's still my baby though.

*575 - ba zhang (1 week late) and other randomness

Note the abundance of females. Tim ( = Nat's cousin!) happened to be the only male during our spectacular ba zhang event.

(Now I know: I prefer Nonya ba zhangs.)

Unrelatedly,

EIC at Timbre: Mr Siva! (who remembers me!)

Singapore river

And unrelatedly,

My first time in Purple Transformer

Maddy's first time in Purple Transformer: "leaping" in
(Clad in cute PJs because we popped by unexpectedly)

And relatedly, I have nothing to do at work (after 2 hectic days), hence the blogging.

*574 - midnight madness with maddy

A very impromptu late-night escapade in Springside park, in the typical silly Maddy-and-Evelyn fashion.

It all began with "I BAKED CUPCAKES you want anot I'm coming over in 5 seconds see you" and then running over with cupcake in hand and then "have you checked out our playground" and then "NOPE LET'S GO!!" and then off we went.

Eh I tell you secret ...

1 doggie and 2 pseudo-dogs
(I don't think we were very convincing dogs)

Spot the Evelyn

Heave ho!

Maddy is as long as the whole slide

Climbing to the peak

Maddy is shaped like the pole, strangely enough

I returned home (sweaty) something like 2 hours later, much to my parents' bemusement. Ahh, Smaddyo <3

Maddy, jazz next Monday? Weicheng, alert Sam of our return!! ;)

*573 - after lunch stupor at work II

Just had another 2-hour lunch. (I'm praying none of The Bosses ever see this.) Where 3 of us interns traipsed off to the sketchiest building in Orchard (Ming Arcade) to have good Malay food and compare how pathetic our intern lives are. (Very.)

I'm done with all the work I have to do today and on top of that, I am also done with online shopping and settling my plane tickets back to NY and planning my weekend getaway and interrupting my daddy's meeting in Sydney to say hi and searching for recipes and visiting the bathroom 5 times. My last trek around the floor offering blackcurrent frutips to everybody who wanted one brought my list of things-to-do-at-work-today to a grinding halt - the list that I wish were longer, because being stuck in a cubicle with nothing to do puts me in such! great! despair!

I am typing furiously with a furrow in my brow and looking intensely busy!

My wisdom teeth are emerging through my gum!

I don't dare to open my brolly to let it dry out because if you open your brolly indoors, evil spirits will haunt you!

And that concludes everything of interest in my life at this point in time.

*572 - after lunch stupor at work

I'm sitting here, eyelids half closed, resting my chin on my atas gold-green cushion, and contemplating eating an apple. Apple? No apple? Apple? No apple? Ah, decisions. No one ever said life would be easy.

(By the way - no apple.)

*571 - pre-weekend fun

Purple transformer after work, unsuccessfully avoiding ERPs.
Casuarina prata: plain, double egg, mushroom, honey (!), thosai (I can't believe we finished).
Salsa lesson by Alvin in the pseudo dance studio (sister's room).
Late night baking: our own invention! Coffee cupcake with bailey's frosting. Classy tasting cupcakes looking rather unclassy.
Late night poker.
3 am: regular bedtime nowadays.
Happy :D
But sad because time always passes too quickly when you're having a ball. Soon my 3 months will be over, and I'll have to leave Singapore again.

So much prata!

Honey prata

Attractive as usual

Bailey's icing

Hard at work

:D :) :\ :P :S :( :O

<3

Gambling den (didn't realise our table was so shiny!)

*570 - chompchomp

Prawn mee, satay, sambal stingray, orh lua, mega sugarcane, mango pudding-esque beancurd, stobeli lychi jelli. Evelyn Liru Jon.

:D

50-cents satay, anyone?

*569 - tick tock tick tock

Note: I was not drunk in my last entry. Just very, very sleepy haha! Went to Union Square that night, which was my first time in a salsa club. It might have been slightly more enjoyable if everyone knew how to salsa already :P Teaching first-time-dancers in that sort of intimidating, crowded environment was not the best idea. I got stabbed down my ankle three times in the exact same spot by heel-wearing Cindy, who was concentrating too hard on learning the steps to notice. NN was so sporting and learned really fast though, very proud of him :D Hehe!

I never thought this day would come: me going around begging for work to do because I'm bored stiff at work. (Hence the desperate attempt to blog even though my brain's moving as sluggishly as my work.) Well, at least I've got more interesting work to do now - calling up luxury hotels to organize the F1 events. It's fun to read through all the hoity-toity cocktail menus. Wonder if I'll get to attend, heehee. Free-flow bubbly, fast cars, hot F1 racers? Yum. (Haha just kidding! I think the F1 events are wasted on me because I've never had much interest in races.)

I've been doodling and thinking about Elisa and Evelyn a lot. We've been lying pretty dormant, I know. Have a couple of fresh ideas up my sleeve, which would set me back if they disappointingly fail to work out. Going to churn out the new designs in the next month or so. Hope my ideas materialize.

I literally feel my brain ticking to a stop.

(Makes me grumpy.)

Tick. Tick. Tick.

Tick.

Tock.

Sigh.

*567 - happi!

Hello from work! ;) I just had the happiest weekend ever and I'm sad to be back in the office but I'm happi so I'm not really sad. Hehe. Just got back from a big soporific lunch with big bosses and other colleagues. (Not that they were boring; I'm just sleep deprived. Zones out.)

Saturday
Waking up at 3 am and bouncing out of bed
Calming myself down and going back to sleep
Waking up at 6 am and bouncing out of bed
Calming myself down and not being able to go back to sleep
Making friends with Miaomiao and YY
Going on a treasure hunt in Spotlight
Eating too much gai dan zai (!) & ice cream
Heading to Timbre for EIC
Making friends with Kenneth's friends
Waving to Mr Siva :D he was good!
Meeting my Sec 3 Chem relief teacher, because she turned out to be the gf of a friend of Kenneth's
Walking along the river
Catching the last train home - but no bus!

Sunday
Waking up sleep deprived
Heading off to continue making friends with Miaomiao and YY
Playing Settlers, which I did not win
Being inadequate (cannot do PSLE math anymore)
Eating Jap noodles from a bowl 3x the size of my head
Heading back to NCC :)
Having a steamboat dinner
Being inadequate a second time (still cannot do PSLE math)
Being swaku in the purple transformer car
Popping by Maddy's place
Watching Maddy leap (clamber) over in her PJs
Transforming back and forth, ready to fight crime!
Uncovering a funny confession purely by accident

Nothing very spectacular happened per se but one does not have to DO terribly spectacular things to FEEL like it was a spectacular weekend, right?
