*440 - raw meat

This is rare - I'm feeling too tired to blog. Haha. So here are photos, because they don't require intelligence (while writing about my days/feelings/etc does).

Family time! Samsui chicken, amongst other yummy things.

Justin time! Slabs of medium-rare steak at Outback, supercalifragilistically yummy.

Cheesy fries!

Looking raw! Slurp.

CAN YOU DO THIS?

And then, to Mind Cafe to play a game involving deceit and trickery (hoho), and taboo.

These are "crazy babies". Baby-shaped starbursts with liquid centers.

- Quite fun
- Too much food in one day, growing obese
- Wenloong & Senthil stole our cab
- I hate midnight surcharge

End of blog entry. That was quick hahaha.

I AM LEAVING IN 10 DAYS OMG hahahaha HELP panic asdflk;nkl[

oh I'm okay really

*439 - harry's

I woke up and the first thing I saw was an SMS from Tubby asking if I wanted to go to Harry's to listen to Paul again at night. So we did! (:

Heineken, anyone?

Tubby being himself.

Camera flash too blinding!

Yay Justin joined us :D Sipping on planter's cocktail.

"SMILE EVERYBODY" -Tubby gives his sweetest smile-

Boyfriend #2, Boyfriend #1, me. I'm so blessed. Hehe (:

This is how Liru eats her calamari rings: by chewing off the outside layer first!

ATTACK! (Eating my Viennese fingers :D)

I took this picture because I noticed that Tubby was turning red and Justin was pinkish too, while I was still pale as a ghost. So I downed Tubby's last cup in a bid to turn red too. But it turns out I was still the fairest of them all.

And speaking of Viennese fingers, I saw some people eating the M&S version today while walking back from church! M&S are undeniably more intelligent than me though, because they dipped their biscuits lengthwise, instead of the way I did it. Which means that each bite includes some chocolate. Silly me.

*438 - viennese fingers

They look neat and innocent enough, but you should have seen me pipe out the dough onto the tray. The nozzle I used was far too narrow, and the dough was far too thick to be squeezed out of it, but once you've put everything nicely into a piping bag you don't feel like digging everything out to change the nozzle and start again, people who've piped stuff should know how I feel.

So I persevered.

I actually started sweating, and had to stand up, turn on the fan, use both hands and all my available muscles to push the darned stuff out of the bag. I was shaking like a leaf from exertion and at the end of it I couldn't even unclamp my hands from the bag because they were cramped in that position. It's quite hard to explain but every little line and turn in the cookie had me tortured.

Hahaha I am such a weakling.

But they turned out good, just like Marks and Spencers. Yum. (:

*437 - to "irritated"

(deleted; drama over)

-

I just baked Viennese Fingers for the 1st time and I'm pretty pleased at the outcome, aesthetically speaking :P I haven't tasted them yet, the chocolate's still drying.

Shall bring some for the friends later (that means you Tubby, I don't know who else is going haha) if they taste normal/good, and I might get to see Justin today as well so yay (:

*436 - chompchomp

BF#2 and I waiting at a cosy little ice cream parlour at Haji Lane for Desmond to pick stuff up from me.

I've been to Arab Street and Haji Lane countless times but for some reason I had never actually properly browsed the shops along Haji Lane. Everything's REALLY quaint and I can totally imagine setting up a little shop there, only that I wonder how the owners pay their rent because it's far, far, far from bustling!

We left late (COUGHnotourfaultCOUGHhahaha) and the bus journey took like an hour and everyone was waiting for us!! So paiseh sorry sorry.

We were supposed to have a Singapore Food Feast of sorts, with the whole hawker centre atmosphere which is actually kind of stinky and smoky but I'm sure it'll be something I miss when I am gone in PRECISELY TWO WEEKS omg panic TWO WEEKS.

Anyway we really did have a feast, there was charkuayteow, hokkien mee, carrot cake, satay, chicken wings, mussels, sotong, stingray, pohpiah, wasabi pohpiah, giant mugs of sugarcane juice, and we all dug in with our chopsticks in the typical Chinese communal fashion, eating from the same plates, drinking from the same straws, passing the dishes around, throwing bones and shells on the table, etc.

Charity: Lime!
Tubby: -looks crazy-

Blur sotong (as in literally, not talking about Tubby)

This side of the table (Justin Ng, me, Jon)

That side of the table (Liru, Mich, Tubzz, Charity)

Tubby's best "tango" pose (just imagine that the chopstick is a rose between his teeth). Look at the intensity in his eyes!

My bodyguard

In the cab on the way home - because Jon has problems opening his eyes when there is flash. Heeheehee.

Thanks to everyone who came down at such a short notice! I had fun and my tummy's happy (:

*435 - pig

I feel like sleeping.

But it's time for lunch and I'm hungry.

Life is full of tough decisions.

*434 - chinese food and waffles

I <3 xiao long bao.

But not the bamboo shoots.

This tasted a little too egg-whitey.

And on Tuesday, guess what!! Yeah, waffles. Hahaha. This was after we hung around Jitterbugs for far too long entertaining the boy who keeps trying to pick us up. My very valid excuse for not giving him my phone number or joining the next salsa class with him: I'm going overseas in 2 weeks. (OMG TWO WEEKS?!?!) Poor Maddy was left to deal with him herself while I ran off sniggering. But we have a good plan up our sleeves and I don't think Maddy will have to see him again :D

I feel sad because I've not been spending much time with the family. I realise that being caught up in this rush of "let's meet up before you go!!" and packing my days with friends, I've hardly seen my family over the past few days.

I realise one more thing I'll miss when I go is my house - the next time I return, it'll be to a completely new house! Family's moving a few weeks after I leave. Actually I'm kind of jealous cos the new house is so nice, and a lot more spacious than the current. Haha.

Ramble ramble. I keep sleeping at 2 and waking up at 8. Definitely not enough for piggy me. Yawn.

*433 - you're repulsive

Now that I've worked my way through The Pickup, maybe I should start on Harry Potter 7, which has been sitting around since Sis bought it a while ago. Kind of interested to know what happens, and according to Sis it's not as bad as the past few books!

-

It was something mildly amusing to gripe and whine about it a few months back (some might realise what I'm talking about because I griped and whined SO MUCH) but even then it already annoyed me to death. But now, It Is Not Even A Little Funny Anymore. It's disgusting and it pisses me off.

Seriously. A little more decency, and intuition, would do you good.

-

Occupational hazard: This is what happens when you accidentally stab a wire through your finger.

(It bleeds in 2 separate spots; I thought that was cute.)

So here's a little bit of proof that I haven't abandoned E&E (:

-

I'm clearing my desk/room (for the impending move!!), and I'm reading through all my old letters/postcards. (:

And the coolest part was when I found a $50 note buried in the middle of the pile HAHA.

-

And, I love my Boyfriend #2 for rushing to my rescue when I need her! :D

Lifesaver.

*432 - apple tarts

I said somewhere that I was "off to bake apple tarts", and I did.

(Those little indents look cute, but they're actually for helping the puff pastry puff up, rather than for aesthetic reasons!)

Puff pastry, apricot jam, half a sliced apple, sprinkled sugar, dots of butter, bake, and glaze.

I made 6, breakfast for everyone in the family (:

*432 - chillicrabbb

xY that sounds too fiddly and difficult for me, I think I'll just stick with my Say No To Flash campaign :\

:D Well, we're actually not taking in anymore orders at the moment cos we're terribly busy! But you can let me know what you want, I MIGHT be able to make it if it's a quick one! If not, we'll be up soon, with new designs to boot (:

-

I love BanLeongWahHoeSeafoodRestaurant. Hahaha. At least, I think that's what it's called. How much better can it get: 2 chilli crab, 5 mantou, hot plate tofu, 8 chicken wings (one of their specialities), plate of veggies, for $72! Which worked out to be about $14 per person! Wow :D

(Also notice in above photo, Abhi struggling to use chopsticks.)

Just a demonstration of Jingwen's amazing photography skills, using my anti-shake camera! Quite artistic actually, we look like really happy blurs.

The strangest bunch of friends yet!

Jingwen --> Evelyn,
Evelyn --> Jingwen & Maddy,
Maddy --> Evelyn & Bern & Abhi,
Bern --> Maddy & Abhi,

where --> means "is good friends with", and not "is eaten by" (as is the case in food chains). Very interesting.

The best self-taken photo of the night, kudos to Abhi who has very long arms and a host of other weird abilities as we soon found out.

Fat tongue, skinny tongue! Look at the marked difference! We clearly have a very useful talent here.

But Abhi wins hands down as Most Talented. This is what he does to scare little children:

Lick his nose ("I haven't shaved, my moustache is tickling my tongue!") and bend his thumb (nearly) off.

HAHA. Really awesome dinner, it was like watching a circus act hahaha, and it was grrreat catching up with JINGWEN (: There is a reason why she was my primary school best friend (for a while at least)! Thanks for coming down ALLLL the way to have dinner (: I've missed you!
