*411 - sentio pics 2

A few things to say (:

=) No, I don't know if shops in Singapore sell real AE clothing (it can't be legal right haha) but there are imitations or supposedly 'factory rejects' in some shops! The best bet is to buy from www.ae.com!

Sarah What fat arms?!?!

Banana Are we judging???

Jingwen Yes so soon! Let's go out!

Sandhya Even sooner than mine!! ):

Origami Extrodinaire See you on Mondayyy. & I have more skirts for you I think.

And now, a continuation of the Sentio picture post! (:

And after the performance, it was cupcake time!! :D

Haha yay so many cupcakes (:

The next 4 pictures are credit to DanceLar.com, I cropped them so that they would fit into my column haha. There are millions of awesome photos there! (Thanks Josephine!)

(Evelyn and Evelyn!)

So, that was Sentio. Thank You to my Daddy God for keeping me and my dancers safe and sound and healthy throughout, and for giving us the opportunity to bless the less fortunate. It was wonderful performing again and I loved all the three dances I was in. Really happy that dancing brought me closer to all the people I spent hours and hours with each week. (:

-

Taking 3 dance classes a week now seems like nothing in comparison! Wonder if I'll get to dance when I'm in Cornell. (Auditions freak me out, and while I love dancing, I know I'm not fantastic.)

-

I did my 2nd triple in class the other day!! Like the way things always are, noone was looking. When we're supposed to be doing a pirouette exercise, sometimes I can't even do consistent doubles and on a bad day I would just topple over from a single. But it's always in the middle of choreography or when I'm not really thinking about doing good turns that the good turns actually happen.

Hmmmm what happened to Evie, we should go for classes together to end off our 13th year of dancing together before I leave ):

-

Omg. I just turned out a few big plastic bags of ballet shoes, (mouldy) gym shoes, and pointe shoes. Discarded all but one pair of ballet flats, discarded all gym shoes, and the most heart pain of all, discarded all but one pair of pointe shoes.

This definitely isn't all I've ever had, but the super duper old ones were deshanked and practised in as flats and now are long gone.

But these are the few saved over the years, broken in and overly-soft and not useable anymore (save one). From the Shuhan-Yiping-Wenting-Junling days, to Amarante last year. Each pair representing hours of hard work, squashed toes, rotting toenails, bleeding feet.

:')

*410 - leaving

Because everyone's been asking:

10 August
10.50 am

ie. 44 days left

Yes, I'm excited.
Yes, I'm petrified out of my wits.

Half priced on Tuesdays :D

(Low fat blueberry cheesecake yoghurt icecream)

(Which nonetheless probably added more calories than what was burnt off salsa-ing)

*408 - hippopotamus and flea

Let's examine where the weight is coming from.

Breakfast
1 slice of bread with peanut butter
1 slice of bread with nutella
1 cup of milk

Snack
Decadent chocolate eclair (hoho)

Lunch
Chunk of fried tofu
Dish of veggies
Pieces of seaweed wrapped chicken
Omelette with cheese and tomato
Chocolate flavoured mantou

Snack
Another chocolate eclair
Strawberry sherbert
Half a bag of honey roasted ham potato chips

Dinner
Salmon (undercooked, just the way I like it)
Fruit and veggie salad

Snack
2 double chocolate cookies
1 cup of yoghurt drink

Darn, so that's where all that's coming from. Hahaha OH WELL.

Being wobbly and lumpy feels gross, but I realise that the more I try, the worse I become, so right now my philosophy is to be happy eating and that way I will make people happy because girls will look at me and think "phew at least I'm not as fat as Evelyn" and boys will look at me and think "phew at least my girlfriend looks better than Evelyn", so you see the world will be a happier place when I am hippopotamus enormous and that's including myself because eating makes me gloriously happy.

But seriously, it's been a long time since I've gone anywhere near to obsessing over what I eat or how heavy I've grown (ok maybe that's a lie, I still weigh myself every morning and every night but that's more out of habit than anything else), and it really does make me a happier person. The "I Hate My Body" days were sad days and I'm glad I've taken a step away from them, at least for now!

(I think what sparked this off was seeing a friend at dance class just now whom I haven't seen in about 4 weeks, and within those 4 weeks she suddenly transformed from petite to asdf;lkjSKIN&BONES and YELLOW and I didn't even recognise her at first which was really sad because she looked so sickly. Being slim is nice, but skeletal, that's worrying.)

-

Flea market photos from 1 week ago! Thanks for all the support, especially to the friends who made the special effort to come down to say hi (:

Ok I'm kidding, my dearest assistants Maddy and Justin were absolutely helpful and were the perfect companions especially during the tiring/boring periods. Yay (: I owe them one.

-

It's raining, at night, at bedtime. I love weather like this. (:

*407 - no such thing as too much sashimi

Japanese buffet at Kuishinbo, two Saturdays ago. Food doesn't need much explanation so I'll cut the words and dive straight into the photos. People allergic to Japanese food / raw food / seafood / too many photos should turn away now.

We must have eating an entire salmon between the 2 of us. And more. Much, much more. That one meal was enough to sustain me for the entire day, breakfast lunch and dinner. Fabulous :D

And, a sneak peak at my Secret E&E Experiment!! (Although you can't really see what's happening, or at least, I hope you can't, or it won't be fun anymore.)

Fun fun fun. But I'll have to finish up all my earring orders before I can get started on the Secret E&E Experiment, which might not even work out haha. But I hope it works!! (:

*406 - tetanus

Spot my tetanus jab!

It hardly aches, but I'm pretending it does :D

(In the photo, I mean. Just so you know I'm not as loserish as to pretend it aches when it doesn't in real life. Actually, I can't decide which is more loserish. Oh well! :D)

Worn out from shopping with Mumsies. My giant broad bunioned feet make buying closed toed heels an embarrassment. "Errr can I have another size bigger I'm so sorry -nervous titter-"

Anyway, Robinsons has additional 20% off all items on top of the discounts. There probably are plenty of good deals but after trying a million shoes on I was too tired to continue shopping. Yawn.

Baking adventure later with Mumsies, because my first attempt failed sadly so we dug out all the cookbooks and educated ourselves on the art of making good choux pastry, and we're trying again now. Awesome :D

(edit, later)

And ... SUCCESS! :D Mumsies was neurotic over the choux pastry but that part turned out fine. The entire family was watching me and drooling as I spread the chocolate and whipped the cream and pieced together the eclairs, but they've gotta chill for a while so no eating yet.

Chocolate eclairs!! (: (:

Now I understand why they're so pricey. They seriously require a lot of effort and tlc. I think cookies and muffins are on the opposite end of the "effort" scale from eclairs, frosted and decorated cupcakes somewhere in the middle.

Yay, yummy eclairs waiting in the fridge for the family! (Don't think I can bring them out for friends because the cream will start to melt. Sigh. Well that just means more for ME! :D)

I actually wrote out a "To Bake List", and next on the list is to conquer rough puff pastry!
