*367 - not negotiable.

Everyone is different, yes. Everyone has their own opinions, yes. Everyone has their own ways of doing things, yes.

And that's all well and good.

But when two people are fundamentally different, when the things that they regard as important and un-negotiable conflict, when there is simply nothing you can do to compromise because you uphold different, clashing beliefs ... then I think the two people are incompatible.

You shouldn't have to change the way you do things or the things you believe in strongly for someone. Unless what you do obviously could do with a change for the better. But otherwise, what you believe in makes you you, and if you have to keep changing, keep compromising, keep striving to become the perfect person in somebody's eyes, then that somebody needs someone else, not you.

I'm stubborn, yes, proud, admittedly, but when it comes to certain things, it's just a matter of principle, and it's no longer about pride. It's about remaining true to yourself and doing what you believe is good, and right.

Just ranting. Heh.
